I thought with the introduction of my new website I’d kick off my first blog post with a few hair product recommendations!
Almost all my clients ask what products I’m using in their hair and if I would recommend them (the answer is yes!). So here we have my top 3 faves that are so versatile, I use them on almost every style I create:
Percy & Reed – Volumising Mousse
This mousse isn’t sticky at all. It’s light weight and holds volume and bounce without leaving that horrible crispy feeling, like many do. It helps to add moisture leaving your finished style feeling silky and smooth. It can be used on both wet and dry hair.
A golf ball sized (or more for very long / thick hair) should be dispersed through the hair with your hands, all the way to the tips and then dried in with a hairdryer.
It’s easy to get your hands on this one as it is stocked both in John Lewis and Marks and Spencer’s. RRP: £12
Bumble and Bumble – Invisible Oil Primer
Well firstly this stuff smells amazing! Again, this product can be used on both wet and dry hair! It should be sprayed evenly throughout that hair, combed through to the tips and then dried in with a hairdryer. Its light oils help to detangle, de-frizz and tame those pesky flyaways that we all hate! It also helps to protect hair against breakage, UV damage and heat styling. Oh and it also makes your hair incredibly soft!
You can pick this little gem up from most Boots stores. RRP £21
L’Oréal – Tecni Art Pli Shaper
My third and final recommendation is heat activated and is absolutely perfect for creating curls and wavy blow dries that last all day long.
L’Oréal describe it as a ‘foundation for hair’ and I couldn’t agree more! Use it with rollers for a great root lift too! This should be applied liberally to towel dried hair (although I use it on dry hair too!) and dried in with a hairdryer, lifting the roots as you go,
This one won’t break the bank and can be ordered online from Amazon. RRP £12
